When I was contacted by a customer wanting me to style her daughter’s Strawberry Shortcake 1st birthday party… I was excited! I LOVED Strawberry Shortcake when I was younger! I don’t typically do the party planning side for others! I stick to creating the printables and doing the styled and real party shoots to capture great images of the printables! Megan wanted an adorable Strawberry Shortcake party on a budget. Check out the amazing details, DIY’s, and gorgeous photos captured by Heather Renee Photography! I LOVE being able to create gorgeous and easy dessert tables that moms can replicate on a low budget using our Printable Party Packages. This one is available as a Strawberry Shortcake and just a Strawberry theme HERE!
For the backdrop I used light pink wrapping paper found at Walmart and then used green curtains to hang on each side. I used Command Strips hanging hooks and a small thin tension rod to hang the curtains on the wall. Very easy and no damage is done to the wall. I then used the poster print which is available in this Printable Party Package!
The stunning cake and smash cake were created by a local cake gal, Jennifer, who creates cakes for fun as a hobby! She is pretty talented!
The birthday girl’s momma had her adorable outfit made by a friend! You can purchase an adorable birthday girl outfit created by Elle Couture to match this theme!
I purchased these solid wooden spoons from Hobby Lobby and then used a tiny foam dot paint brush and some acrylic paint to create polka dots! Easy, affordable, and quick. I used nut cups from Joann Fabric and Craft Stores to house the sherbert!
Keeping it on a lower budget I purchased pink cookies from the Dollar Tree and placed them in mini wooden crates from Michaels that I painted red.
My sweet friend, Lauren, made these delicious oreo pops!! They are really easy to make!
These place and tent card labels come in this Printable Party Package and are ready for you to edit and add your own text!
For the polka dot table runners I used wrapping paper from Hobby Lobby! Easy and disposable. The bunting banner was created by printing off the pieces from this package, cutting, punching a hole on each end with a standard office hole punch, then stringing through some tulle! You could also use ribbon or twine!
For these Rice Krispy Treats I simply stuck paper straws in the individual Krispy Treats purchased from Walmart.
The cupcake toppers are easy to make and come in this Printable Party Package complete with instructions on how to assemble.
