American Girl Doll Birthday Party Ideas

An American Girl Doll Birthday is the perfect party for your little doll lover! The party can also be done without the dolls, and make for a perfect tween or teen BFF Kate Spade Inspired Party. Use a few shades of pink mixed with black, white, and gold to create a modern glam look! Using Shutterfly decor products I was able to create gorgeous items that coordinated with the party + look great in my daughter’s room after the party was over!

The American Girl Doll Birthday party was originally going to be outdoors, but due to weather we moved to a backup location! I created a last minute backdrop using hot pink wrapping paper from Walmart and this gorgeous Shutterfly Canvas Print. The digital design for this canvas print is available as a FREE download at the bottom of this post. The gorgeous balloon tassel and mini doll table tassel are from Lisa Frank Parties.

You can order black milk glass cake stands on Amazon. Sometimes you can get lucky and find them at your local Homegoods store. This fun felt garland banner is from The Land Of Nod. You can use boxes from Michaels to add some height to the table, and balance out the doll dessert bar.

The gorgeous cookies were made by Sugar Coma Cookies (She Ships).

TIP - You can also purchase iced cookies at Walmart if you are looking to save money! They almost always have options available in your color scheme.

The clear Milk Bottles are a go to for most parties! They are dishwasher safe, and can be used again and again. The ones pictured are from Hoopla Events. Use paper straws from Michaels adorned with bows. You can create these gorgeous 3D bows using your Silhouette machine! I have the Portrait and absolutely love the size and weight of the small machine. You could also use a heart shaped hole punch and adorn with gold glitter hearts.

I JUST MAY be obsessed with the giant Honeycomb Tissue balls from Celebration Lane. You can find the small pink and black ones at your local Target.

The Bow Cupcake Wrappers are probably one of my favorite things from the party - SWOON! The black and white striped baking cups are from Hoopla Events. The bows can be cut on your Silhouette machine! You can also purchase pre-cut bows from a local craft store if you don’t own a die cut machine!

TIP - I always cut a line all the way down the back when adding cupcakes to the baking cups. It helps the cupcake sit down lower in the cup. You can purchase cupcakes from your local grocery store to save money. I always use Walmart Bakery.

The American Girl Doll Birthday Dessert table was fun to create! The bakery style stand is from Walmart and actually comes with a purple top. It is located back in the toys section with the dolls. I used painters tape and pink Valspar spray paint to change the stripe color. You can adorn with a fun mini tassel garland or banner!

Sugar Coma Cookies created the doll size cookies. Fill mini doll cups (these came with the bakery stand) with pink lemonade, cut your paper straws into thirds, and place in the cups. The adorable mini tray is available in several sizes through Shutterfly. The tray is perfect for Jewelry in a little girls room once the party is over!

Your guest will LOVE feeding their dolls at the birthday party! The adorable doll outfits were purchased during a Zulily deal. Don’t forget if you have an older girl you can simply remove the doll part of the party!
